How did you get into longboarding? When?
Been skateboarding since 97 and, come university, I needed a better way to get around campus. It was a natural place to look.
What was your first longboard?
A drilled-out snowboard with Indys and hard wheels. Didn't work well but it got the ball rolling.
When did you get your first Landyachtz? What was it?
An Urban Assault back in '05. People around home had never seen a board like that before. I was being stopped left and right explaining how it works and letting strangers ride
it.
Any schooling? What did you study?
B.Ed., majoring in Physics and B.Sc., specializing in Mathematics.
How do you pay the bills?
Teaching during the off-season allows me to skate when I want to.
Goals? Longboarding and non
Settle in the mountains, have more fun skateboarding than anyone else, solve the Riemann hypothesis.
Greatest longboarding experience?
Traversing the continent with 12 like-minded people in a big van with the simple goals of fun skateboarding. Also, high-fives with the pack after riding out a hectic
situation, best feeling.

I ride a lot on my own, but those great sessions with a few key friends have more impact than anything else.
Hill you have to hit before you're done?
The one that's designed with downhill skateboarding in mind. It's only a matter of time before we get it.
Best thing you've ever built?
Memories with family and friends, a life where I can do what I love.
Favorite meal to cook?
Coffee, black.
