One of the fastest guys on the team just got a new pro model board. Watch him skate some of the fastest roads in North America while he tells you about his new board The Gambler.
After over a year of designing and testing Vera’s Sidewalker is finally ready for the masses. Ultra light for tricks with enough features to keep your feet happy at high speeds. What more could you ask for?

We were so hyped on our video Get In The Van 2 we decided to hit the road and show it off to a bunch of skate shops. Obviously we managed to fit some time in for skating and shenanigans.

The best longboard event of Summer, The Giants Head Freeride presented by Landyachtz. Back for another year and just as gnarly as ever. The clouds rolled in for race day to make things even more interesting.
Alex had this idea for a shot he wanted to get for Get In The Van. Steep sidewalk, lots of rocks, traffic, pedestrians and he wants to do it on the Dinghy.
While you’re taking your board out of the car Yates is already running up the hill for his 2nd run. He’s travelled the world with a skateboard for years and still shows the same amount of stoke that he did when we first met him. This is a collection of some of our favourite Yate Dawg moments
The Revival Series is about finding lost and forgotten timbers and repurposing them into high quality skateboards. It is about using old and weathered material to create Skateboards that are both beautiful and fully skate-able. By sourcing unique materials and pressing them into boards at our little factory in the Kootenay region of BC, we are able to create boards that are pieces of history. Instead of being forgotten, Revival Series wood is rejuvenated, reclaimed and repurposed to live again under the feet of skaters.

All construction restrictions were thrown out the window so we could design the best downhill board ever made. Dillon Stephens and our Engineers explain the process of almost 3 years of development.
When you’re travelling you don’t always get to spend as much time in places as you’d like. Sometimes the short stops and quick visits are the most memorable. The crew gets treated to great hospitality in Zagreb, Croatia before the long drive to Austria to skate what is pretty much a downhill skatepark in the forest. Then throw in a BBQ skate jam with a rad community in St. Gallen, Switzerland. The team can’t thank everyone enough for all the help along the way.

Eastern Europe isn’t always the first place on someone’s travel itinerary. Major conflict in the 90s during the Yugoslav Wars gave the Balkans a rough reputation. Abandoned ruins from the war have opened up interesting places to skate, like the 1984 Sarajevo Olympic Bobsled track. But when you look past the war torn buildings you’ll see beautiful landscapes, optimistic people, and a region that has bounced back from a dark past. Next door is Romania! Not long ago it was locked off from the rest of Europe. Throw in a revolution at the end of the 80’s and you’ll find a country with rich culture and people full of pride for their home. Large mountains ranges with some of the most amazing roads ever paved, it’s no wonder that the scene in Romania is blowing up!

The Mediterranean Island of Corsica is a captivating place. Beautiful rocky mountains, dense forests, hot sandy beaches, and remnants of the past scattered all over giving the island a shade of mystery. After only scratching the surface of Corsica the crew board another ferry to be tourist for the day in Rome then set their sites on one of the most famous volcanos in the world, Mt. Vesuvius.

The premier freeride event was cancelled in 2014 due to fire concerns. Get a behind the scenes look at what it took to get the event back on its feet. You’ll also see why most skaters believe this is the one event not to miss.
A brand new Landyachtz board with an old school flavour. Snappy fibreglass gives you all the board feel you’d ever want. Add a kicktail for functionality to make this the most fun you’ll have on board all summer.

Ramathorn is one of the newest boards in the Landyachtz lineup. Troy Grenier was a part of the design process so he went out for a afternoon skate to show you what the board is capable of doing. Judging by the footage it can handle pretty much anything.
Nestled deep in the Kootenay Mountains lays the small former mining community of Kimberley. This town is the home of Jody Wilcox, the man behind Landyachtz “HollowTech” technology. Over the past few years Landyachtz founders, Tom Edstrand and Mike Perreten have teamed up with Jody to build their very own skateboard factory in the heart of this humble BC town. The old credit union bank building of Kimberley was restored and turned into what is now known as “Berley Manufacturing”. Your Hollowtech board was hand made in this unique factory! Check out this behind the scenes peek at how these amazing boards are made…IN CANADA.
We were introduced to Ahousaht through a board building and art initiative put on by an organization called Longboarding for Peace in partner with the Get on Board organization. With help from these organizations we visited Ahousaht and lead a program to shape and paint boards. We knew after our second visit that we could do more to make a positive and permanent impact on the community.
Approximately 900 people call this rural community home with 40% of that population being under the age of 19. We want to help by giving the community a place for children to gather and challenge themselves in a healthy, positive way, through what we know…Skateboarding.
Please donate today, to help us better this amazing community.
We recently added a new rider to the Landyachtz Team and we couldn’t be more stoked to have nab this local legend. Troy is from a place called Abbotsford, which is in the Fraser Valley, roughly 1 hour from Vancouver. This dude has been brought up with some of the best riders, around some of the best hills. Sit back as Troy Yardwaste thrashes around his neighborhood.
With a trip that exceeds three weeks, you’re bound to have a stock pile of awesome footage left over. Here we have road trips, slams, night life and everything you’d expect from a trip to South Korea. Sit back and enjoy some behind the scenes entertainment.

All this development has created an amazing culture that is quite diverse. From the non-stop city of Seoul to the traditional mountain towns, South Korea was an easy choice for our next Skate and Explore adventure.

The Osteon can do it all! Bomb down your local hills, cruise to the coffee shop, shredding your favourite spots, and if you’re lucky, maybe a little something extra at the end of the day.
Khatsahlano was rad this year! Once again we supplied the ramps, the sun was out, the girls were beautiful and the skating was gnarly. Stoked for another solid year at the Khatsahlano Fest.

The boys in Vancouver leave unfavourable conditions for a 30+ hour travel day to arrive in Cape Town and meet up with the rest of the Australian crew. Perfect weather and amazing skate terrain await as they make there way down to the tip of South Africa, Cape Point.
It’s hard to say good bye to a city as beautiful as Cape Town but the show must go on. The crew heads to the mountains of Franschhoek to get some long bombs, then further north to an abandoned road with killer cats eyes.
With the rain at their backs the crew head up to Durban for a graveyard session, then finally makes it to the Valley of Thousand Hills, where gnarly, steep, dirt roads turn into beautiful butter smooth pavement.

After finding a skate park in the middle of no where the crew come across some of South Africa’s famous wildlife. Then they hit up the world biggest bungee jump. They finally wrap the whole trip up with an amazing slide jam just outside of Cape Town in Llandudno. Tons of stoked skaters and local spectators help send them off with a bang.
The 2014 Giants Head Freeride is going to be insane! This world reknowned event is double the size this year, with two weekends of endless freeriding. If you’re not signed up, you blowing it! #GHF
