100% Canadian Maple

Canadian Maple is a strong and proven material used in the world’s best skateboards. We source only the finest veneers found in Eastern Canada.

CNC WHEEL WELLS

Wheel wells reduce the risk of wheel-bite by increasing the gap between wheels and deck. Sanded or CNC’d wheel wells both allow for larger wheels or looser trucks, if desired.

Kicktail

Take your skating into the third dimension with a kicktail. We design our kicktails to work perfectly with each deck shape as well as with the truck and wheel setup on each complete.

LOW CAVE

Mellow concave that barely feels like it’s there, but designed to give you the control you need, when you need it.

MULTI WHEELBASE

Precisely dial in your ride with multiple mounting options for your trucks.

SYMMETRICAL

Go both ways with symmetrical board design. Generally found in freeride and downhill decks, these boards allow the rider to skate both regular and switch without changing up their stance.

The Stratus 46 is a flexy longboard shape designed specifically for freestyle and longboard dancing. At 45.5" long by 9.25" wide, with griptape only where you need it, this board has plenty of space for all of your cross-stepping needs. The Stratus Watercolour uses an 8 ply Canadian Maple construction to give a nice medium flex feel that returns lots of energy out of each turn but still gives you a confident feeling when landing tricks. The shape has been modified slightly this year to work with the new Grizzly Gen 6 180mm trucks while still having tons of pop. The Stratus rolls on 63mm Fatty Hawgs to keep the complete light and let you run your trucks nice and loose without worrying about wheelbite.

Flex Rating

So, what’s flex and why is it important to a skateboard? In skate-nerd terms, flex is the amount of displacement a deck sees when a specific amount of force is applied to it. Check out our formula to the left! There are a few factors that affect flex, like deck thickness, wheelbase, and the amount of force on a deck. We built a machine and put our entire lineup to the test by applying the exact same amount of force to all our boards and measured the displacement we saw in each. This gives a totally scientific and accurate flex range across our entire line! It’s important to understand flex when choosing a board. Here are some basics: Downhill/freeride skateboards will have less flex because you need a stiff platform to stand on when you’re bombing or gripping a corner at speed. Carving skateboards will have more flex, giving you the ability to sink into your turns and pump or carve with ease. Most cruisers, dance and ATV boards will have less flex for control when doing tricks but just enough to be forgiving when pushing around town. We’ve engineered our boards with the best flex for each style of riding but remember, flex is subjective so get out a see what you like the most!

Super fun board; Great customer service

Wow, okay so Landyachtz is amazing. I’m kind of new to longboarding and skating in general, so I asked the customer service chat about this board vs another and she recommended this one. Super nice lady. I was worried about the size of the 46” being that I’m like 5’7 and 130lbs, I didn’t know if I’d be able to push this thing around especially for more long distance cruises. She assured me that this one would still be totally fine and actually more recommended for learning the basic dance steps.

The board itself is fantastic. It feels like I’m gliding when I carve and it just tramps over big cracks like they’re nothing. I take this thing to and from work now that it’s Spring and it makes a 6mi trip so pleasant. It’ll take most terrain no problem so you never really have to bail for a big crack or pothole. Still learning the dancing steps but in the meantime this board is just so fun to ride; I can’t get off of it at this point.

Awesome ride

I started longboard in 2020 with a board from Amazon. I had so much fun with it and wanted to up my game. I have heard a lot about stratus and bought one. The board is very stable and smooth. It’s easy to pop the board . This board is worth the hype. I highly recommend it.

Very pretty

I really like the hollow design. The board works well for beginners, too.

Mom hooked on Longboard Dancing

I used to be that parent watching my kids on the playground, bored out of my mind, doing grocery lists in my head.

Now I'm the random 35 yr old mom learning to longboard dance on the splash pad area while my kids play (on the random warm day when the snow disappears ).

I got into longboarding last summer, just cruising around the neighbourhood/local skate park but I saw some vids about longboard dancing and liked the idea of it. Did some research and this board was recommended as an affordable but good option. I'm 5'9" and I wanted a board that was longer and wider for my big feet :) Took the plunge & bought it last month. It's winter here so most of my practice has been inside my garage, getting my balance and basic steps in place. Learned the 180, can actually ride switch now, and the ghost ride trick . Took it out on the street the other day when the snow melted and it was a dream. Easy to maneuver, love the big wheels and the feel of carving. Trying to practice every day - can't get enough.

Hope to inspire other people who are looking for a way to unlock sheer joy.

Killer deck for freestyle and dancing

Landyachtz Stratus 46”

From the first day it has been such a clean riding deck. Pretty firm for reliable carving and Peter pans hanging over the rails!

I’ll definitely be grabbing another Landyachtz deck…maybe a few!
