So. I skated a ton about 20 years ago. Recently got it in my head to start skating again. After a lot of shopping around I went for the atv howdy cuz the popsicle shape and the need to be able to skate rough pavement. This board has not disappointed. It's taking some time to get back really moving again but I'm really having fun now. The deck is solid but not too heavy. Feels really good underfoot and slides like no board I've ever had in the past.
Back when I was really skating hard (late 90s early 2000s) the wheels were all hard and tiny and pretty much made for skatepark. But as soon as you get on some bumpy stuff or hit a tiny pebble then it's not happening. The wheels on this thing seem to roll over anything. It's completely changing my attitude on what is skateable. The hills by my house that I previously thought to be unskateable are now open to me. I'm not really doing tricks and stuff cuz honestly I'm almost 200 pounds now and it's hard to work back up to the kind of heavy impact tricks you do at skatepark. But I can carve and shred all over the place on this setup. I could not be more pleased with the quality of this skateboard. And I've been getting way more exercise then I used to and who knows maybe by skating everyday I'll lose some weight. All in all I absolutely love the board. Thanks!!
