The Evo is a classic example of downhill board design and the concept continues to be effective to this day. A lowered platform and directional wedging work to give you a super stable ride and front-loaded steering that gives you a ton of control while cornering hard. The Evo 40 is the larger of our two Evo shapes and offers unparalleled stability and a super controllable, drifty ride. Pressed with 10 plies of Canadian maple, the Evo 40 offers a stiff platform for downhill performance. New this year, the Evo comes with 155mm Gen 6 Bear Grizzly trucks to give you a bit more of a defined hookup from drifts and more control over the steering. The Evo rolls on 73mm 76a Biggie Hawgs for lots of roll speed and grip as well as predictable drifts.

Flex Rating

So, what’s flex and why is it important to a skateboard? In skate-nerd terms, flex is the amount of displacement a deck sees when a specific amount of force is applied to it. Check out our formula to the left! There are a few factors that affect flex, like deck thickness, wheelbase, and the amount of force on a deck. We built a machine and put our entire lineup to the test by applying the exact same amount of force to all our boards and measured the displacement we saw in each. This gives a totally scientific and accurate flex range across our entire line! It’s important to understand flex when choosing a board. Here are some basics: Downhill/freeride skateboards will have less flex because you need a stiff platform to stand on when you’re bombing or gripping a corner at speed. Carving skateboards will have more flex, giving you the ability to sink into your turns and pump or carve with ease. Most cruisers, dance and ATV boards will have less flex for control when doing tricks but just enough to be forgiving when pushing around town. We’ve engineered our boards with the best flex for each style of riding but remember, flex is subjective so get out a see what you like the most!

73mm 76a Biggie Hawgs

73mm Biggie Hawgs are meaty square-lipped wheels that are compatible with most top-mount and low-clearance longboard and downhill setups. With our high-rebound formula, in 76a grey, these will grip in the most demanding situations but will break out smooth for predrifts and check slides. These are a great way to upgrade the stock wheels on your longboard setup or get a little extra grip out of your downhill board.

good after some adjustments

would up putting caliber 3 trucks on and keeping the same wheels, upgrading the bearings to ceramic and this thing moves. easy to control and a great board.

Perfect board for larger adults

I had been trying to get my friend into longboarding for over a year, but as a 290 lb guy he wasn't feeling comfortable using any of my boards, for fear that he would break it, and the additional instability from having the board flex above average. The first day he hopped on this board it was a complete game changer. The thickness of the board provided stability for learning those first pushes. The angling of the truck mounts giving him good starting blocks for learning downhill, while still being a board he could push long distance with me. Glad to see lanyards providing a tested and supported board with larger weight capacity. He messaged me the next day saying that he sold his scooter and was going to go into longboarding full time, can I give much of the credit to this board

Great board for large riders!!

I ordered the complete setup and it has been absolutely amazing!! I am 6 ft 5in tall and weigh 300lbs and this board holds me with no give and 0 fear of it breaking under my weight. I have already ridden the board about 90+km.
