A long wheelbase cruiser board made in small numbers using a maple, fiberglass and epoxy construction. Born from the desire for a different style cruiser board that pairs a longboard feel, in a compact package. The Schooner doesn’t subscribe to a specific riding style, and will be a lot of fun in any situation you find yourself in. A unique design and an all-new board for 2023, the Schooner is truly a work of art, structurally and visually.

Completes are shipping with Black 70mm 78a Supremes rather than the 72mm 78a plow Kings pictured.

One Board One Tree

To give back to the environment we have decided that for every skateboard we sell, we plant a tree. One tree produces at least 60 boards. So with our program, one tree will turn into at least 60 new trees planted.

Kicktail

Take your skating into the third dimension with a kicktail. We design our kicktails to work perfectly with each deck shape as well as with the truck and wheel setup on each complete.

Made in Canada

Ohhh Canada Eh!

PRE-CURED FIBERGLASS

Fiberglass is a lightweight yet extremely resilient material, used to either add extra stiffness to a solid maple board, or replace some maple plys and provide a snappy flex to a thinner flexy board.

ROCKER

Rocker provides a more comfortable foot platform by adjusting the deck angles to a skater’s natural stance. It also adds board control and increases responsiveness under your feet.

Fenders

Also known as pressed wheel wells, flares are part of the board shape. The resulting bumps in the concave on top allow for larger wheels, looser trucks, and provide better control and more precise foot placement.

A longer wheelbase than most of our cruisers makes it more capable of riding fast. The snappy flex acts in multiple ways: it allows you to pump through your turns, and it dampens out vibrations on rough pavement, cracks, and debris. Flared wheel arches allow you to ride 70mm Hawgs Supremes, the ideal option for long fast cruises. Also available with Fatties, which are great for everyday cruising, and freeriding. Setup with Polar Bear 130mm reverse kingpin trucks gives you a deep turning carve that is aggressive, yet controllable. We created something that gives you confidence in all types of terrain and is more fun to ride with a premium quality construction that provides a unique feel that makes cruising more fun!

Flex Rating

So, what’s flex and why is it important to a skateboard? In skate-nerd terms, flex is the amount of displacement a deck sees when a specific amount of force is applied to it. Check out our formula to the left! There are a few factors that affect flex, like deck thickness, wheelbase, and the amount of force on a deck. We built a machine and put our entire lineup to the test by applying the exact same amount of force to all our boards and measured the displacement we saw in each. This gives a totally scientific and accurate flex range across our entire line! It’s important to understand flex when choosing a board. Here are some basics: Downhill/freeride skateboards will have less flex because you need a stiff platform to stand on when you’re bombing or gripping a corner at speed. Carving skateboards will have more flex, giving you the ability to sink into your turns and pump or carve with ease. Most cruisers, dance and ATV boards will have less flex for control when doing tricks but just enough to be forgiving when pushing around town. We’ve engineered our boards with the best flex for each style of riding but remember, flex is subjective so get out a see what you like the most!

The Perfect Cruiser/Tech Slide Deck

Mellow concave, medium flex, small wheel flares, a 16+ inch wheelbase, and a functional tail. Those are the features that make me love this board. The problem I run into with most cruisers is the wheelbase is too short. That's why I can't get down with smaller shapes, like the Dinghy and Tugboat. The Schooner hits different, though.

The mellow concave feels great underfoot. The wheel flares are mellow enough to stand on without discomfort, but they give you some reference points to lock into if you plan on using this little beast for tech slide.

The deck is flexier than I thought it would be, but it's not a deal killer. The flex smooths out the ride when cruising. When sliding, I stand on top of the bolts, so I don't feel the flex at all.

The wheelbase is what truly makes this deck so versatile. It's short enough that the deck is still compact and easy to trick, but it's long enough to feel stable at moderate speed.

I set this deck up with 149mm Paris TKPs and barrel/cone Krank bushings. Without risers, I can run up to 70mm wheels with zero wheel bite.

And the icing on the cake...the graphic is classy AF! Love the aesthetic.

If you're a big guy, like me, in the market for a functional cruiser or tech slide deck, the Schooner will float your boat.

The only possible downsides I've found are durability and price. The deck is thin and has some flex; it feels kinda fragile. Its longevity really depends on how you ride it, though. I'm a clumsy, old +200lb rider, and I…
