The Ripper is the Dippers big brother. The wider standing platform provides confidence at higher speeds and works great for bigger riders. The board uses slightly wider trucks to match the width of the deck. It has a soft, bouncy flex and a nice, long wheelbase which give it a playful, surfy ride. The Ripper lets you lean deep into your carves. Mellow concave and a subtle rocker will have you feeling right at home on this board. The kicktail gives you something extra to play around with on those long commutes and adds an element of versatility to this board.

MEDIUM CAVE

The perfect middle ground, enough concave that you always feel glued to your board, but not too much to hurt your feet during a longer cruise.

ROCKER

Rocker provides a more comfortable foot platform by adjusting the deck angles to a skater’s natural stance. It also adds board control and increases responsiveness under your feet.

SANDED WHEEL WELLS

Wheel wells reduce the risk of wheel-bite by increasing the gap between wheels and deck. Sanded or CNC’d wheel wells both allow for larger wheels or looser trucks, if desired.

The Ripper is a compact longboard shape that measures 36.9” long and 9” wide. It combines a healthy dose of rocker, a kicktail, wide TKP trucks and just the right amount of flex to be one of the most playful cruiser boards we've ever made. This bad boy rolls smooth on Hawgs soft wheels. The “Moon” graphic, created by our in house art team, is pretty hard to resist with its sharply contrasting Matte colors. This might end up being the most fun board in your quiver.

Flex Rating

Flex has a big impact on the overall feel of your board and is influenced by a bunch of different factors. The main ones being thickness of the deck, it's wheelbase and rider weight. To put the equation in laymans terms: more flex occurs when you decrease thickness of the deck, increase the wheelbase and increase rider weight. The more flex in your board the more carvy and agile it'll feel, less flex means it's more stable and suited for faster skating. We test every complete with a device we built in house, specifically to standardize flex ratings.

Great to be back on a skateboard

It finally occurred to me that a skateboard was what I needed to fill a transportation gap. But then I remembered how f***ing fun skating is. Feel like a teenager again. Love it.

Love the 130mm trucks. So snappy and fun. Right amount of flex. Lots of options for my feet. Stoked.

My new favorite board!

I'm typically cruising on flat ground with some mild hills and ride about 8-10 miles at a time. Not only is this board super fun and lively but it's insanely comfortable cruising and pushing for miles. Feels pretty solid going down hills at speed too. Gives me confidence rolling over uneven or gravelly pavement and small sticks/pebbles along bike paths. Kicktail was a must for me and adds to the fun feel of the board. It's now my go-to for every day shenanigans over my drop carve.

So fun and would highly recommend to anyone!

Back on board

First time back on a board in over 10 years, loving this guy so far. Took the first few days just cruising to and from work, the wide stance and longer wheelbase made it really smooth to ease back into things. Looking forward to building up a quiver, but for now I'll practice falling gracefully 🙃

Incredible Board

Been a fan of Landyachtz for a few years now and decided to add to my quiver by buying the new Ripper graphic when I saw the 2023 lineup release. The Ripper carves like crazy, and the flexiness of the deck makes it super comfortable and fun to stand on. I'm in college and my campus has a ton of hills, and this board makes them all the more fun. I have several other boards from Landyachtz, but this is the most fun board from them I have ever bought. Even with the narrower trucks and flexier deck, I still feel super confident on hills with the ridiculously wide wheelbase and stance. Carving on this board is so enjoyable and easy, and you can really lean into the tight turns and even kick out little slides if you please. Amazing board, and I would recommend this to absolutely anyone who skates, as it is both great for people just learning, but also provides the confidence and capability for more experienced riders. Unlike some other boards, the Ripper is great at doing it all. Don't know what else to say about it other than that it is pretty much perfect and makes skateboarding even more fun than it already is.
