From far away, it is virtually indistinguishable from the Dinghy Classic, but if you put the two side by side and take a close look, you will realize that they are actually very different from each other.

The Dinghy Blunt can be used in all sorts of situations. It works great in the same scenarios where you would want a Dinghy Classic; it’s portable, small, and fun. The subtle differences between the two can help you tailor your riding experience to be exactly the way you want it to be.

The biggest difference is the width of the deck, with the Blunt being a little bit wider than the Classic. This increases the amount of contact between your feet and the grip tape, which offers more control. The Dinghy Blunt is just big enough for you to rip it in a skatepark or slash hills without sacrificing that feeling of a mini board that makes the Dinghy Classic so popular.  

Trucks and Wheels
Tailoring Performance

The width of your deck has a significant effect on the trucks and wheels you will need. On an ideal setup, the width of the trucks/wheels will roughly match the width of the deck. Because of this, we like our Blunts to be set up with 130mm Polar Bear trucks, instead of the 105mm trucks that come stock on Dinghy Classic.

Wider trucks reduce the amount of space between the wheels and the deck, so to compensate for this, the wheels on the Dinghy Blunt are slightly smaller than the wheels on the Dinghy Classic. For comparison, the Classic uses 63mm Fatty Hawgs and the Blunt uses 60mm Chubby Hawgs. The smaller wheels create a nimble lightweight feeling and are still very soft and forgiving on rough pavement.

The Dinghy Blunt has a very inviting shape, with a big tail and a rounded nose; it looks great and feels great. The Blunt has a lot of unique attributes which all contribute to the way it feels. With lots of amazing graphic options, the board is stable, responsive, agile, and controllable. There is a Dinghy Blunt for everyone.
