I wanted a reverse king pin narrow truck that are designed with 3/4” bushings and maybe have 20 to 30 degree rear truck. I was really glad to get my hands on this pair , and was super anxious to try out these newest version bear smokies 120mm and also try out the 20 degree rear handling.I never would have thought or even been able to wedge a truck to that degree. I always wedge my trucks And far as this set goes, i was a little leery buying a set of slalom trucks 120 mm that it would be too narrow for me to freeride /downhill though back in the days I rode on Indy 100s for slalom w Krypt 70s and loved them. so I went for it and so glad I did . The bad thing now I am not riding any of my other DH boards. Just these, they are light, nimble in the rough and I do feel confident in their stability, they are fun , a forgiving return to center and respond fast to where you aim. A good ride through the spectrum.
I am running wide Cannibals and can’t say I understand what’s all going on geometrically, it’s a match that work well together. I did wedge the front truck a couple degrees to steepen the action for a dab of quickness in steering. Didn't need to, very little diff they work awesome , so I’ll keep it that way.
You can tell by now , how much I love em. Need I say more? need I recommend them?
Helmets off to Bear, keep up the awesome craftsmanship !
