Light, stiff and highly carvable. The Drop Hammer is great for anyone looking to spice up their commute, carve down a mellow hill, get rad on their way to class or just get out for an afternoon ride with friends. We tried to really go for a unique vibe with this one, with the gold “Landyachtz Stack” down the center of the graphic and the shaded trees overlayed above the calm dark background.

One Board One Tree

To give back to the environment we have decided that for every skateboard we sell, we plant a tree. One tree produces at least 60 boards. So with our program, one tree will turn into at least 60 new trees planted.

100% Canadian Maple

Canadian Maple is a strong and proven material used in the world’s best skateboards. We source only the finest veneers found in Eastern Canada.

DROP THROUGH

Drop through decks are lower to the ground and enjoy increase stability without sacrificing maneuverability.

LOW CAVE

Mellow concave that barely feels like it’s there, but designed to give you the control you need, when you need it.

ROCKER

Rocker provides a more comfortable foot platform by adjusting the deck angles to a skater’s natural stance. It also adds board control and increases responsiveness under your feet.

SYMMETRICAL

Go both ways with symmetrical board design. Generally found in freeride and downhill decks, these boards allow the rider to skate both regular and switch without changing up their stance.

The Drop Hammer is a drop through longboard capable of many different things. Don’t let the simple shape fool you, simplicity is bliss. Featured is a nice flat concave which is extremely comfortable and helps get your feet exactly where you want them to be for those rad slides or deep carves. The board has a nice soft flex which makes it really playful and makes for a smooth ride. A 10” inch width at the end of the standing platform tapers down to 9.375” inches at the middle, creating a shape that can be used for leverage over the trucks or to lock your feet into the edges of the board. Large cut-outs allow for fantastic wheel clearance, meaning those 70mm 78a Supreme Hawgs will never touch the deck. The Bear Gen 6 180mm 50-degree trucks are mounted through the board to provide a gradual, responsive turn that will give you confidence and performance. Overall, this is a great board for almost any situation.

Flex Rating

So, what’s flex and why is it important to a skateboard? In skate-nerd terms, flex is the amount of displacement a deck sees when a specific amount of force is applied to it. Check out our formula to the left! There are a few factors that affect flex, like deck thickness, wheelbase, and the amount of force on a deck. We built a machine and put our entire lineup to the test by applying the exact same amount of force to all our boards and measured the displacement we saw in each. This gives a totally scientific and accurate flex range across our entire line! It’s important to understand flex when choosing a board. Here are some basics: Downhill/freeride skateboards will have less flex because you need a stiff platform to stand on when you’re bombing or gripping a corner at speed. Carving skateboards will have more flex, giving you the ability to sink into your turns and pump or carve with ease. Most cruisers, dance and ATV boards will have less flex for control when doing tricks but just enough to be forgiving when pushing around town. We’ve engineered our boards with the best flex for each style of riding but remember, flex is subjective so get out a see what you like the most!

Rides smooth and carves like a charm!

This was my first board and I have nothing but high praise for it. Feels great on the feet and has plenty of room. I rave about it to my friends all the time and whenever they get the chance to hop on, they go nuts over how smooth a ride it is!

Can't wait to purchase another landyachtz board in the future!

Loving the board

I've been snowboarding for years, but never skateboarded. I recently moved, and now I have a one mile commute to get to the train. Riding my longboard beats walking, and I'm surprised how much my snowboarding experience translated. There's really nothing like holding a carve; now I enjoy my ride to and from work! Love the board, would definitely recommend.

First Time Longboarding

This board is smooth, easy to control, has plenty of realestate, is light weight, and looks amazing. It took me about a month of practice to feel really comfortable on the board.

I can definitely recommend this board for anyone

First timer at 34!

My son was gifted a penny board for his birthday a few weeks prior so I decided to get this board to be able to ride with him in our neighborhood. I grew up on roller blades so had never ridden a skateboard.

I went with this one because I'm tall with size 12 feet so the wide deck is comfortable and the drop through trucks allow my prone-to-fall self to be close to the ground for when I occasionally had to jump off while learning to ride.

First board

I got this as my first board on a recommendation. I’ve been riding it for several weeks and can’t overstate the build quality and comfort of this board. It’s great for a beginner and exactly what I needed for a couple mile commute to the gym.
