Kicktail

Take your skating into the third dimension with a kicktail. We design our kicktails to work perfectly with each deck shape as well as with the truck and wheel setup on each complete.

MEDIUM CAVE

The perfect middle ground, enough concave that you always feel glued to your board, but not too much to hurt your feet during a longer cruise.

ROCKER

Rocker provides a more comfortable foot platform by adjusting the deck angles to a skater’s natural stance. It also adds board control and increases responsiveness under your feet.

SANDED WHEEL WELLS

Wheel wells reduce the risk of wheel-bite by increasing the gap between wheels and deck. Sanded or CNC’d wheel wells both allow for larger wheels or looser trucks, if desired.

The Ripper is a scaled down longboard shape that measures 36.9" long by 9" wide. A slightly flexy ride and the long wheelbase give it a playful, surfy ride and lots of lean in carves. Mellow concave and a good amount of rocker will have your feet feeling at home on this board from the first ride. We set this board up with Polar Bear 155mm trucks to give it the combination of agility and stability that it needed and finished it off with a set of 63mm 78a EZ Hawgs wheels to keep the board nice and light while still giving a fast, smooth ride.

Flex Rating

Flex has a big impact on the overall feel of your board and is influenced by a bunch of different factors. The main ones being thickness of the deck, it's wheelbase and rider weight. To put the equation in laymans terms: more flex occurs when you decrease thickness of the deck, increase the wheelbase and increase rider weight. The more flex in your board the more carvy and agile it'll feel, less flex means it's more stable and suited for faster skating. We test every complete with a device we built in house, specifically to standardize flex ratings.

I’ve been looking into getting one for years but never lived anywhere I could use one, finally got the opportunity and my aunt suggested their brand. The board is so lovely in design and easy to use, can’t wait for many more adventures with it !

Best beginner board out there!!

This board feels super comfortable, carvy(when needed), and very stable. After a really nasty spill on a small board I wanted something I knew could support me stably. The ripper was the one that caught my eye, and I’m glad it did! It’s gotten me back into the sprit of skating again and wanting to try more Landyachtz boards!
