One Board One Tree

To give back to the environment we have decided that for every skateboard we sell, we plant a tree. One tree produces at least 60 boards. So with our program, one tree will turn into at least 60 new trees planted.

100% Canadian Maple

Canadian Maple is a strong and proven material used in the world’s best skateboards. We source only the finest veneers found in Eastern Canada.

Kicktail

Take your skating into the third dimension with a kicktail. We design our kicktails to work perfectly with each deck shape as well as with the truck and wheel setup on each complete.

MEDIUM CAVE

The perfect middle ground, enough concave that you always feel glued to your board, but not too much to hurt your feet during a longer cruise.

SANDED WHEEL WELLS

Wheel wells reduce the risk of wheel-bite by increasing the gap between wheels and deck. Sanded or CNC’d wheel wells both allow for larger wheels or looser trucks, if desired.

The Skiff measures in at 32.3” long and 9.3” at its widest point, tapering down to 8.6” over the back truck and a nice 9” width right at the front truck. This deck will give you the feeling that the edges of the board are always accessible without giving you a feeling of the board being too narrow. The nose has a unique look to it and works great for catching your front foot on ollies, and the swooping tail will embrace your back foot and give you lots of confidence. The wheelbase is 15 inches, which gives a good mix between responsiveness and stability. 130mm trucks and 63mm Fatty Hawgs will match up with the edges of the board nicely and give this board just the feeling it needs.

Flex Rating

So, what’s flex and why is it important to a skateboard? In skate-nerd terms, flex is the amount of displacement a deck sees when a specific amount of force is applied to it. Check out our formula to the left! There are a few factors that affect flex, like deck thickness, wheelbase, and the amount of force on a deck. We built a machine and put our entire lineup to the test by applying the exact same amount of force to all our boards and measured the displacement we saw in each. This gives a totally scientific and accurate flex range across our entire line! It’s important to understand flex when choosing a board. Here are some basics: Downhill/freeride skateboards will have less flex because you need a stiff platform to stand on when you’re bombing or gripping a corner at speed. Carving skateboards will have more flex, giving you the ability to sink into your turns and pump or carve with ease. Most cruisers, dance and ATV boards will have less flex for control when doing tricks but just enough to be forgiving when pushing around town. We’ve engineered our boards with the best flex for each style of riding but remember, flex is subjective so get out and see what you like the most!

Awesome

I fell in love with the graphic the first time I saw it, and ordered the board online. It feels carvier than your standard popsicle board or dinghy blunt, and has lots of room on the deck without being too wide. The tail really does hug your back foot like they say. Haven't had much chance to try it out on pavement yet cause it snowed here, but my indoor tests make me think it'll be lots of fun around the neighbourhood.

I love the shape and ride of this board!

I bought this because it was a smaller version of the Raft Solitaire which I love but find that board a little too big. This is a much better design in my opinion. It's not as front heavy which really makes a difference. Coupled with the HAWGS 63mm DOOZIES this makes for a great for cruising/ATV board. My only complaint is the color and graphic design, it's really boring. Other than that I recommend this board and hope Landyachtz continue to produce it with more interesting graphic designs and color options.

I'm in love!

I just recently got my skiff. It's my first cruiser (and board in general) and I have been learning to ride it for a few weeks. I love it! Here's just a few things i'd like to point out.

The trucks on this board has a LOT of carve. It helps make really solid quick turns, but in turn it's less stable compared to other boards I tried. I wiped out quite often on this board, but at the same time it has a charm to it. Once you do get your footing right though, It swerves and cruises super nicely. It has some surf skate aspects to it. As a beginner, I still really like it.

The quality on this board is absolutely spectacular with everything from the deck to the Hawgs, and I love the graphic. I even have a sticker of him on my water bottle. A good reminder to always pick yourself up!
