Used friends, definitely good when you look into prices of other snowskates. The 35 is the best for beginners or more street type skaters. It be perfect for downhill skaters that have the winter blues. Just know it's similar to skating downhill, but there is somethings different. You will have to relearn somethings if you don't have a solid snowboard background. BUT, I do know some people are preferring this more now to downhill skating. Can't blow a spot, no karens, more variety in runs, more people are stoked seeing you on the hill, and get a magical couch ride that takes you back to the top of the hill lol.
No I won't be ditching my snowboard for one anytime in future, I'm a snowboarder who skates. There is alot that a snowboard can do that a snowskate can't. Where at most a snowskate has over a snowboard is your feet can dangle off the chair lift, you fall more closer to like a skier, and can get certain skate flip tricks once get better. It's for the people who skate that snowboard, people who are more interested in something different, or a snowboarder that wants a extra toy to play around on for the novelty.
Before you buy one, make sure the ski hill you go to will allow it. Some hills have out dated insurance or more ski based stuck in the past.
