Designed to rally big mountain terrain and conquer World Cup podiums, the Switchblade has proven itself equally adept at getting you to the grocery store and ripping down your local hill safely. The mellow drops, long wheelbase and low ride height combine to offer a drifty, confidence-inspiring feel perfect for riders looking to up their freeride game. The Switchblade 40 is the longer version, offering a more stable ride and slightly easier slide initiation, as well as being a bit more comfortable for taller riders.

The Switchblade is a double dropped freeride shape that is designed to give you a low, comfortable platform for exploring big hills as well as getting around town as quickly as possible. Deep concave and foot pockets at the drops give you the reference points you need to explore the limits of your freeriding, and the 9 ply maple construction keeps the board stiff and under control. The 40 is the larger of the two sizes we offer, measuring 40" long by 10" wide and offers a driftier and more stable ride. This board comes set up with 180mm Gen 6 Grizzly trucks and 70mm 80a Mini Zombie Hawgs wheels for premium freeride capabilities straight out of the box.

Highlights

  1. Drop foot platform for added stability
  2. Drop mounted for increased stability
  3. Symmetrical design for freeride bliss

Great all round.

I haven’t had the board for that long but so far I think it’s great. I am not the most experienced rider so I cannot give a experienced riders view but it seems very good at all levels of experience.

Pros: This thing is comfortable! Your low to the ground with tons of space( if you’re short I’d go with the 38” version as this board is quite big.)and it’s great for cruising and carving. It’s fast and doesn’t give much speed wobble.

Cons: The graphic wore and got scraped away pretty quickly but realistically the graphic shouldn’t be why you buy a certain board. It’s is quite heavy, which is good for downhill but can be a pain to take with you everywhere.

If you want something to just easily cruise on maybe go for another board. But if you want a downhill board to also cruise on a bit on the side with, I’d recommend this board. It is an old board that still holds up well today!
