DESCRIPTION

The Evo is a classic example of downhill board design and the concept continues to be effective to this day. A lowered platform and directional wedging work to give you a super stable ride and front-loaded steering that gives you a ton of control while cornering hard. The Evo 36 is the more compact of our two Evo shapes, and at 36″ long by 9.5″ wide it offers more grip in the corners and a much more agile, responsive ride than the 40. Pressed with 9 plies of Canadian maple, the Evo 36 offers a stiff platform for downhill performance. New this year, the Evo comes with 155mm Gen 6 Bear Grizzly trucks to give you a bit more of a defined hookup from drifts and more control over the steering.

SPACEBALLS

Imagine the perfect board. Something that is supremely comfortable. Something with every detail meticulously planned out and engineered to a T. Now make it 12 times better. Now you have *drumroll* the Landyachtz Evo 36 (with a gorgeous spectrum graphic might I add). This thing is a beast on wheels. It has just the exact right amount of flex, while maintaining a degree of stiffness that is just… *chef’s kiss* And is that some incredibly comfortable W concave or am I mistaken? Feels incredible on the arches of my feet, and those rails are quite sharp, but somehow not uncomfy in the slightest. A lot lighter than I was expecting from some other reviews. Overall easily a 12,000,000/10 board. Well done Landyachtz, well done.

EVO 36

I’m relatively new to long boarding. First board was a drop hammer just for riding around town. I learned very quickly I love to go downhill fast. Picked up an EVO. I love how stable it is and how it wants to stay fast and take lines fast. This board gets me in trouble because it lets me go way faster than what my skills are ready for. I love the board. Shipping was quick and it was ready to go out of the box. Thanks Landyachtz!

Flex Ratings

We’ve categorized the stiffness of our boards into 3 main groups, listed below.  The general rule is the faster you’re skating, the stiffer the deck, but this is not universal.

Flexy – Soft and supple flex profile best suited for carving and cruising on longer boards. The bouncy nature of these decks lets you turn deeper and surf your surrounds.

Medium – The do it all of our boards, a perfect balance of stability and carve.

Stiff – From cruisers to downhill boards a stiff flex profile excels in stability and responsiveness.  Whether you’re dipping into driveways or bombing a mountain pass you’ll be down with the stiffness.
