Gordito – Creature

Gordito – Creature

The Gordito is the over-sized street shape that you didn’t know you needed. You might recognize the artwork by Dirk Hays, we have used it on several occasions, and we thought the Gordito would be the perfect canvas for The Creature. Whether you’re a bigger rider tired of feeling cramped on smaller boards or just looking for a bigger platform to make riding on hectic terrain a little easier, give the Gordito a shot.

DESCRIPTION

Here we have a fine example of a big ol’ skateboard. This beast is 35 inches long by 10 inches wide. Whether you have big feet or just want the stability of a big board, this board will be right for you. We set the Gordito up with 180mm Polar Bear trucks, which match the width of the board nicely and provide tons of stability. The trucks have loads of real estate for coping, flat bars, ledges, and anything else you can get your grind on. It is a perfectly functional skateboard with a bit of extra meat on it, great for a surfy feel. The Gordito, is a great all-round setup with 63mm 78a EZ Hawgs for roll speed and slide-ability.

TRUCKS

Polar Bear 180mm

One of the biggest challenges in designing the Gordito was getting the right truck and finding a 180mm street truck with smooth artculation is a huge challenge! Thankfully the homies at Bear Trucks aren’t ones to shy away from niche trucks and we’re stoked to have their 180mm low-profile Polar Bears on the Gordito.

WHEELS

63mm EZ Hawgs

Sometimes it’s all in the name, we designed these wheels to make your time on your skateboard as easy and stress free as possible. Super smooth rolling and super smooth slides with minimal effort are in your future on a set of Easy Hawgs, they really do feel like riding and sliding on clouds thanks to our 78a Ez formula.

BEARINGS

SPACEBALLS

Spaceballs are our answer to all of your bearing problems.  Never again can you lose your washers, or spacers because we’ve built them into the inner race!  On the functional side, this means your bearings are always mated correctly which negates any bearing-induced chatter.

Perfection

I've always preferred longer boards for pool riding, namely the now defunct Comet 38" TMKF. This is very close, concave is just right, tail is solid. Loving this shape! Thanks Landyachtz!

You must buy one of these before they are gone forever!

Once again, Landyatchz hits a homerun on this board setup. Its made of the finest quality Canadian Maple with Bear trucks and 78a Hawgz wheels. It feels so great when you ride over cracks in the sidewalk because you know that your board is not going to stop moving and send you flying through the air. The graphic on this board is SICK! Its an original Dirk Hayes and this might be your last chance to get this board with this graphic. No one knows what next years line up will be...but Im 90% sure that this graphic will not be on this board. Dont miss out...buy it now!

BOO!

I'm sure it would be great if the concave wasn't uneven, the kick tail was angled enough and there a mound of glue or something under the graphic where you attach the back trucks( they wouldn't flush with the board)

Flex Ratings

We’ve categorized the stiffness of our boards into 3 main groups, listed below.  The general rule is the faster you’re skating, the stiffer the deck, but this is not universal.

Flexy – Soft and supple flex profile best suited for carving and cruising on longer boards. The bouncy nature of these decks lets you turn deeper and surf your surrounds.

Medium – The do it all of our boards, a perfect balance of stability and carve.

Stiff – From cruisers to downhill boards a stiff flex profile excels in stability and responsiveness.  Whether you’re dipping into driveways or bombing a mountain pass you’ll be down with the stiffness.
