DESCRIPTION

The Ripper is a compact longboard shape that measures 36.9″ long and 9″ wide. It combines a healthy dose of rocker, a kicktail, wide TKP trucks and just the right amount of flex to be one of the most playful cruiser boards we’ve ever made. This bad boy rolls smooth on Hawgs soft wheels. The Moon graphic, created by our in house art team, is pretty hard to resist with its sharply contrasting Matte colors. This might end up being the most fun board in your quiver.

TRUCKS

Polar Bear 130mm

Some of us still like to ride a board that is a bit on the narrower-side. And, of course, you need trucks to match it. If you step down in board size then it’s time to step it up to the 130mm Polar Bears. Sold in pairs. Bushings: 85a is softer, 90a is harder. Softer bushings are more lively but less stable – with 88a being what we usually use in our completes.

WHEELS

63mm Fatty Hawgs

Made famous as the wheel of choice for our Dinghy completes, Fatty Hawgs are now available separately in a multitude of colours and patterns so you can upgrade your cruiser board today. We use the highest quality urethane to ensure these are the best cruiser wheels available on the market. Get a set and see the difference for yourself.

BEARINGS

SPACEBALLS

Spaceballs are our answer to all of your bearing problems.  Never again can you lose your washers, or spacers because we’ve built them into the inner race!  On the functional side, this means your bearings are always mated correctly which negates any bearing-induced chatter.

One of my favorite boards in my collection

The Ripper is a beautiful board with one of the most surprisingly versatile setups I've seen from a longboard. If I'm not sure what I want to do when going out for a skate, I bring this bad boy along. A jack of all trades kind of board that has never disappointed me.

it was way too flexible for my liking, but that’s not necessarily a bad thing. Everyone has their own style and taste and people want the perfect board to ride and I do think Landyachtz is always the way to go the very high-quality boards and built very well, but I do not think the ripper was for me But I do think I’m going to try the dipper but I do wish that the dipper had a kick tail

This board is and impressive cruser with a strong freeride side. I feel locked in at speeds and I can depend on my Fattyhawgs to slide when I want and to hang up when I need. I have found that it's not out of place at the skate park due to its traditional king pin set up. The main reason i love this board is because it is the perfect pump track board. I love the dingy, Ripple Ridge, and tugboat for the same reasons I suppose but it being so long leaves me with so much room for error along with the flex that relives the weight in my legs when ripping a turn in the pump track. This board has proven to me it can do whatever you want it to do as long as you keep it under 35mph

Flex Ratings

We’ve categorized the stiffness of our boards into 3 main groups, listed below.  The general rule is the faster you’re skating, the stiffer the deck, but this is not universal.

Flexy – Soft and supple flex profile best suited for carving and cruising on longer boards. The bouncy nature of these decks lets you turn deeper and surf your surrounds.

Medium – The do it all of our boards, a perfect balance of stability and carve.

Stiff – From cruisers to downhill boards a stiff flex profile excels in stability and responsiveness.  Whether you’re dipping into driveways or bombing a mountain pass you’ll be down with the stiffness.
