Gen 6 Bear Trucks (130mm) – Split Degree

Gen 6 Bear Trucks (130mm) – Split Degree

(34 Reviews)

130mm Gen 6 Grizzlies are now available as a split degree set with a 50 degree front truck and a 30 degree rear. The idea of this is to give your board very directional steering, meaning that the majority of the steering will come from the front truck, with the rear truck tracking behind it. This makes for an inherently stable setup, less prone to wobbles, and allows you to run your front truck nice and loose for great maneuverability without having to worry about stability.

This style of truck setup is very popular in the downhill and freeride world as the narrow hangers combined with a large split in the baseplate angles gives the optimal blend of grip, agility and stability. Until now these characteristics were only found in high-end DH trucks that cost a lot of money, we’re stoked to be able to offer a modern truck solution at this price point for the first time in the market.

You don’t need to be pushing the limits of DH and Freeriding to get the most out of these trucks. This combo can turn any board into a carving machine and add some confidence to your carves. If you are looking to get into downhill this is an awesome place to start.

Bushings:
-Front 50 degree truck = 85a barrel bottom and cone top (Dark Grey)
-Rear 30 degree truck – 93a double barrel (Off White)

All Gen 6 Hangers and Baseplates are interchangeable

First time trying bear trucks and I love them! Possibly the best out of the box truck for the money. Super cool that Landyachtz offer this split option. Ordering and receiving was smooth also, thank you for the solid experience!

It took 6 generations and a 4 year tease, but Bear has struck gold with these
Like any truck, they need some time invested in dialing the bushings. After that, they are undeniably the best performing narrow cast truck to hit the market with modern downhill in mind. Glad I grabbed a set before they sold out.

Flex Ratings

We’ve categorized the stiffness of our boards into 3 main groups, listed below.  The general rule is the faster you’re skating, the stiffer the deck, but this is not universal.

Flexy – Soft and supple flex profile best suited for carving and cruising on longer boards. The bouncy nature of these decks lets you turn deeper and surf your surrounds.

Medium – The do it all of our boards, a perfect balance of stability and carve.

Stiff – From cruisers to downhill boards a stiff flex profile excels in stability and responsiveness.  Whether you’re dipping into driveways or bombing a mountain pass you’ll be down with the stiffness.
