Great for pump track
I got this for the pump track and it works great! I rode a regular skateboard before and it was fun but it wasn't fast enough. With the Schooner I can keep going around the track till I'm out of energy while the other board would slow down to a stop after the 1st lap.

Smooth as butter
The Schooner has been sick for cruising. It feels incredibly smooth and holds momentum well. I upgraded the bushings to the Riptide Krank 93a (40/60) and those feel perfect. Overall loving this board and can't wait to try it on a pumptrack soon.

Upgrade!
Picked up this Schooner to replace an old Tugboat. Size 13 shoe, wanted just a little more width and wheelbase since I'm 6'1 with long legs. Highly recommend!

Great stable board for beginner adult skater
I'm 40 and decided to learn to skateboard with my 5yr old. I have 30+ years of snowboarding experience, so maybe it helped a bit but regardless the Landyachts Schooner was easy to jump onto and start cruising around parking lots and curvy walkways. I did crash onto pavement in a split second while trying to manual, i bought pads and am wearing a helmet because head injuries are forever. The boards construction is top notch high quality and beautiful to look at. No complaints would by another and likely will as i gain skills.

So far she's a ripper!
This board is so fun for cruising! I'm a tall large footed person so definitely a great size for me and a great bridge between a longboard and cruiser

Just What I Was Looking For
I noticed there weren't too many reviews for this so wanted to give my experience for anybody on the fence about this board. First, I normally ride a Dinghy and feel very comfortable on it. I'm 5'7", 160lbs, with a relatively narrow stance and I feel like I can push the Dinghy forever. But I have been looking for ways to improve my ride (city riding, small hills, parking garages, rough pavement) without going to a drop-through or a true longboard. The Schooner looked to be a solid choice and it has been. The best way I can describe it would be that it has"smoothed" out the ride. It feels like it just wants to keep rolling, pushing is a bit harder but it's negligible and, for someone who is used to a smaller board, the added stability is welcome. The downsides that I have found are that turning is a bit wider but, honestly, not by much. I was still able to run the lines I normally take and it was fine. Also, because of the larger wheels, longer wheelbase and slightly wider board, the fun-factor drops a little because going off curbs, rolling down hills and hitting small obstacles aren't things I have to think about as much now. Though I can't speak to somebody's experience who normally longboards, as someone who uses a mini-cruiser this feels very much like a middle ground. If you're on the fence for this one I'd say go for it, I did and I haven't been disappointed. It's not really a longboard but it's not a mini either. It's a sailboat. ***This board was originally listed as shipping with Plow Kings. I received mine with Supremes and reached out to Landyachtz customer service and spoke with Alex Hannigan (!). He and Wolfgang sent out the Plow Kings right away, let me keep the Supremes, and gave me some advice on sliding. It was a fantastic customer experience!***

The Perfect Cruiser/Tech Slide Deck
Mellow concave, medium flex, small wheel flares, a 16+ inch wheelbase, and a functional tail. Those are the features that make me love this board. The problem I run into with most cruisers is the wheelbase is too short. That's why I can't get down with smaller shapes, like the Dinghy and Tugboat. The Schooner hits different, though. The mellow concave feels great underfoot. The wheel flares are mellow enough to stand on without discomfort, but they give you some reference points to lock into if you plan on using this little beast for tech slide. The deck is flexier than I thought it would be, but it's not a deal killer. The flex smooths out the ride when cruising. When sliding, I stand on top of the bolts, so I don't feel the flex at all. The wheelbase is what truly makes this deck so versatile. It's short enough that the deck is still compact and easy to trick, but it's long enough to feel stable at moderate speed. I set this deck up with 149mm Paris TKPs and barrel/cone Krank bushings. Without risers, I can run up to 70mm wheels with zero wheel bite. And the icing on the cake. .. the graphic is classy AF! Love the aesthetic. If you're a big guy, like me, in the market for a functional cruiser or tech slide deck, the Schooner will float your boat. The only possible downsides I've found are durability and price. The deck is thin and has some flex; it feels kinda fragile. Its longevity really depends on how you ride it, though. I'm a clumsy, old +200lb rider, and I haven't broken it yet. Pricewise, it's a tad pricey for a cruiser, but LY does make these decks in-house. I think the price tag is justifiable. Would be stoked to see all-maple versions of this deck at a more accessible price point. I'd definitely stock up ;)For real, get one of these while you can.
